Don't Wait 02:55
We go through so many hours in a day Watching the sun go down from inside From the safety of the walls that we've built We find such comfort just playing it safe Asking the question we already have an answer to It's easy to wish and it's easier to say But when it comes down at the end of the day Will you live out your life? Or just wait Cause when you give up on the dreams in your life You might as well fall asleep for the night Don't wait to give it a try (Don't wait, don't wait, don't wait now) Cause when you give up on the dreams in your life You might as well fall asleep for the night Don't wait to give it a try (Don't wait, don't wait, don't wait now) Don't you ever wait Don't you ever wait Don't wait, don't wait now Don't wait, don't wait now

Your Soul 03:27
The night burns slow Like a candle fire it melts the gravity of time Wanting to grow Like a caterpillar wants to be the butterfly You gotta stop to smell the roses While they are growing in the park You gotta stop and make the time to listen To your heart My patience low Wanting to lose this loneliness in your arms No one to hold Like a feather drifting lost without control You gotta stop to smell the roses While they are growing in the dark You gotta stop and make the time to listen To your heart You gotta stop and let the silence Amplify the essence of your art You gotta stop and make the room to grow An appetite that feeds your soul Your soul, your soul, your soul

Do you feel like you've been left behind? Like you're running out of time? Oh I think I might be losing my mind What am I supposed to do? When I can't get myself out of bed It's getting to my head Obsessing over things that you said What am I supposed to say? What am I supposed to do? I love you, I love you always It's all you need to say Does it seem like you can't find your way? Lost yourself while running through this maze Oh won't someone just give me a sign? Where am I supposed to go? Who am i supposed to be? Nobody, nobody ever But yourself that's all you need to be I love you, I love you, I love you always It's all you need to

Doubt 02:43
Running circles into the fabric of time Wearing patiently these days Seems to lack a luster of kinds Like a trend on decline Trying to fight off this wavering feeling of doubt It wants a hold of me So I tune out the noise and feedback And let it be Trying to fight off this wavering feeling of doubt It wants a hold of me So I tune out the noise and feedback And let it be Trying to fight off this wavering feeling of doubt It wants a hold of me So I tune out the noise and feedback And let it be Feeling of doubt Hold of me Feeling of doubt Hold of me

21st Century 02:33
Welcome to the 21st Century Is it what you dreamed to be? Or not perhaps Trapped within a simulated ecstasy Nothing feels as real to me Should I throw it away or Toss another coin into the slot machine Gamble with my sanity? Yeah maybe tonight I'm feeling like I'm gonna be the lucky one

I had thought That the way to love someone Was like a fairy tale Made up of fiction and forever afters And love somehow Would always be on time Until I figured out It’s a story they wrote for the hopeless romantic Does it ever seem just like a fantasy Living above reality It’s hard to see when you dream When you’re awake Nothing is ever as it seems If you’re drifting with no place to go Just make up a world inside your mind And find your paradise And when you come back to earth Remember how it felt inside it’s never late to find some time Hold tight The storm of loneliness will pass right through the night And the sun will shine down from the sky Cause love comes and goes on back and forth like seasons through the years So wipe away those tears Does it ever seem just like a fairytale Living above reality It’s hard to see when you dream When you’re awake Nothing is ever as it seems If you’re drifting with no place to go Just make up a world inside your mind And find your paradise And when you come back to earth Remember how it felt inside it’s never late to find some time If you’re drifting with no place to go Just make up a world inside your mind And find your paradise And when you come back to earth Remember how it felt inside you're never far from paradise

Between June and December of 2022, I discovered a window of inspiration to write this EP. I had just begun settling into a new home and a new music studio. Everything felt fresh physically, but my mind was still lingering on the previous chapter of my life - which felt like a dream and a nightmare at times due to the pandemic. The need for comfort in such an uncertain time propelled me into a different world as a means to survive. It's hard to reflect especially when you're living in it. So when I finally packed up and closed that chapter of my life I saw how much of my reality was lived through rose tinted glasses. These songs aren't only reflections of my state of mind then, but revelations and points of clarity I have made now. They offer a sense of closure, at least in the form of understanding where I was coming from and knowing that I've ended up in a better place. I hope that this EP will put a pep in your step and brighten your day. Thanks for listening! - MM
